I initially predicted Forrest Griffin to win but after thinking about it, i think i was just rooting for Forrest but I knew there he had very little chances in beating Anderson Silva. Boy, Anderson Silva did not disappoint. He thoroughly dominated Forrest. That was amazing and just shows how good Anderson Silva really is. I don't think there is anybody in light heavyweight and below who can stand a chance with him. I think the heavyweights might pose a problem when facing him just because of the size and weight advantage.
BJ Penn is back! Woohoo, that guy is amazing as well. He looked stronger and in better shape than in his previous fights. He took the same strategy that GSP employs which is he breaks his opponents down. You could tell he was in much better condition and he was very explosive. He took Kenny down like it was nothing. I loved how his coach told him he needs more explosions. I like the trick he did with the heel kicks in the ribs before the rear naked choke. That was a sneaky move. All in all, a very entertaining event and I am very happy that BJ won.

UFC 101
Main Event:
BJ Penn aka the Phenom vs Kenny Florian (#1 Contender)
New York Times Best Selling author vs. Pound 4 Pound best fighter in the world
BJ looks like a beast. He is training with a sports athletics company (same places that professional athletes from NFL, NBA are training). He also looks incredibly motivated. I seem him exploding out of the gate and doing heavy damage 1st and 2nd round. He will probably gass a little 3rd and 4th but then come back strong 5th.
I am rooting for Forrest. I can't believe Anderson does not know who Robert Drysdale is. I don't know jitz but damn i know who robert drysdale. Forrest is good but Anderson Silva is the best. Like Forrrest says, he makes good people just look bad. Just ask Henderson and Franklin just to name a few. It's hard for me to judge this because I am rooting for the person who will probably lose. I am thinking by knockout 2nd or 3rd. 1st will be a feeling out process for Anderson and you will see Forrest more than likely win the round with lots of long range punches. It will take time for Anderson to figure out the distancing because Forrest has long arms but once he finds out, look out!

Career change
Work has been incredibly boring this past couple of weeks. I am not that motivated to do what I am doing for work. I think I want to shift careers and hopefully soon. The economy is just bad and I don't want to make it now. I want to do it when the economy gets bettter. I think I want to open up a business. I am also going back to school to get and MBA. Hopefully, if everything goes as plan, I will be able to finish school and open a business in three years. That is my goal.

Photoshoots
The Yosemite trip last weekend was a very good learning experience for me. I brought two flashes and a tripod and Epi brought his camera. I actually my camera as well but I think it was unnecessary for both of us to use our camera. We did several photoshoots. These photo shoots, I think, were starting to annoy some of the girls. We took some very nice shots. It was definitely a team effort. Each of us played assistants by taking turns holding the flashes. We also rotated as the photographer. The biggest learning lesson for me is that it is very difficult to do photoshoots by yourself, especially when you are learning. It helps to have people there to support you.

Off Camera Flash Photography
I really love taking pictures. What's even better is taking pictures with flash strobist style. Being able to use hotshoe type flashes off camera is a god send. Now I can take professional looking pictures without having to lug around expensive and heavy lighting equipment. It also presents a new challenge for me in photography. I now have to learn how to control light from ambient and flash sources. It's is very exciting and fun.

Yosemite July 2009
This past weekend we went to Yosemite. We left a little bit late because my sister had a test and it finished at 11. We grabbed some Lee's sandwiches before heading out. For a long time, I hated Lee's sandwiches because I used to eat too much of it. It was nice to eat it again after a long layoff.
Our first stop was Yosemite valley. We checked out all the waterfalls. The waterfalls weren't as impressive this time of year. They are usually gushing with water in spring time.
At around 7:30 we heading to the hotel. Our hotel was located in Mono lake which was a hr and half drive from the valley. Along the way, we stopped at a vista lookout to take pictures of ourselves during sunset.
The hotel was actually a motel. We got yelled at for talking too louldly while looking for our hotel. We barely arrived and we already got yelled at for talking too louldly. It was funny to us because we were still in the truck when they told us quiet down.
Marie and Romel didn't eat so we heading across the stree to a BBQ joint to grab something to eat while the others showered. We almost saw results of UFC because it was showing there. I made sure not to look at the TV. Marie on the other hand didn't care and watched.
The next day we woke up early to see sunrise over Mono Lake. We ended up missing it. We were driving around trying to get to the lake. When we did get there it smelled terrible. It smelled like rotten eggs. If you have ever been to a hot spring, you would know the smell. I felt good farting because no one would notice. I added to the stench.
I saw another photographer taking pictures of plants. I pretended not to notice. After he left, I took pictures of the same plants. I took some awesome picutes:) Thanks guy.
We went back to the motel to rest before heading out to yosemite. We stopped by Tuoleme meadows and Tenaya Lake. As usual, we took more pictures. Epi and I loved using off camera flashes. We are not as nimble because we are still learning. I think some of the girls were getting annoyed with some of the picture taking.
We went home pretty early in the afternoon. I didn't want to get back to late. I let Romel drive home. I got to sit in the back and it sucked. There was six of us and the truck only fits 5 people so 4 people had to share seats in the back. My butt was hurting most of th way back. I don't know how Maite and Epi did it because they stayed in the back the whole time. Overall the whole trip was blast. Good times with good people. I would like to thank everybody who was there for making this trip a extremely fun one. I would also like to thank everybody for assisting us in the photo shoots:)
